In addition, we decided to sell one of my motorbikes, our car and our trailer so they have been advertised at work and so far all has been smooth - bike gone, trailer sold, awaiting delivery by me and the car has some interest. As we are using the car (Ruby) to get us to Darwin she is only available in late January. I am putting a nice price on her to encourage interest and ease the stress when we get to Darwin as we want to leave Australia without any loose ends trailing behind!
Other little jobs seem to occupy most of my waking thoughts but I find the best way to get through them is to write lists! Once it is on paper, the little jobs can be thought about, ignored, come back to and eventually ticked off.
A lot of shopping was to occur last weekend, the plan was to secure bags, camera, video camera and a new lap-top. In the end we got the lap top and a video camera, both way cheaper than we expected. Still short of lots of accessories I expect but as we are travelling light we will probably remain minimalists and purchase things on the road.
Whilst we have camera's I want to get something a step or two above the current compacts. That probably means a Canon G11 but may end up being an entry level D-SLR.
Very impressed with the lap top we got and I will dedicate some extra space on the about us page to summarise our intentions regarding luggage and electronic accessories.
